Sumo Squats

  • This is a type of squat that will target the adductors as well as glutes.

  • Choose between squatting with a barbell or with a squat machine.

  • Regardless of the equipment you use, your feet should be wider than shoulders’ width, with toes pointing out (45 degree angle or slightly further out).

  • When squatting, the first movement should be moving the hips back, then you start bending your knees as you go down. Knees are going to point out in the same direction of the toes.

  • Keep the core engaged.
